Welcome! You have found the web site of the Fort Worden Kitemakers Conference. We are group of kite makers that are dedicated to spreading kite building knowledge. I am the current leader of this group. My name is Rob Pratt and I am in the start of my third term as President and I am happy to welcome you to our web site. Every year since 1986 we have held the three day Fort Worden Kitemakers Conference, usually early in March, at Fort Worden State Park and Conference Center located in Port Townsend, Washington State. Our conference is starting its 25th year.  Each year we search the world over for instructors to share their knowledge with our members. Over the years we have had instructors from 15 different nations and 17 states teach at our conference. Even the teachers tell us they learn something every year. There is always something going on relating to kites at the conference. And classes are only part of the conference; the fellowship and friendship found at this conference is something that I cherish very highly. All of the attendees are willing to share their experiences and knowledge freely. Take a look around!
